Jerry Reves, MD - I was born in Charleston, SC and graduated from Vanderbilt undergraduate school in 1965. My father received a graduate degree at Vanderbilt, and two of my three daughters have Vanderbilt degress as well. We are a Vanderbilt family. I played on the varsity tennis team when tennis was a non-scholarship team and we were actually fairly decent. I don't think I missed a varsity football or basketball game the entire time I was on campus, and that included a long losing streak in football - we held the national longest losing streak during my sophomore and junior year, I think. I was a cheerleader my senior year, which is the year we won the SEC in basketball and very nearly beat Michigan in the NCAAs played in Lexington. I've been cheering for the commodores before and after going to Vanderbilt and have been a member of the national commodore club ever since I could afford to join. I think we have the best administration and chance we have ever had in athletics since I started following Vanderbilt in the early 1960s.
