Pete Fox
I attended VU from 1964 - 1968 courtesy of many loans and a national merit scholarship. I played in the band all 4 years, and learned to hate anything that was even vaguely orange. I owe Vanderbilt for my wife, Myra, who is a sometimes football fan and full time basketball fan.I've been a season ticket holder for 29 years in basketball and 25 of the last 30 in football. I finally gave up on football when DiNardo led us to consecutive 65-0 and 52-0 losses to UTK, plus the fact that the NCC priced most of my friends out of the seats they had been in for 15 years. I re-upped in football this year because my son wanted to go to some games, though I sit in a non-NCC area.I rarely can watch or listen to VU on radio or TV, especially when it's a close or important game....it literally makes me ill. Living in Chattanooga makes it hard to get to a lot of the basketball games, but I make most of the Saturday games.I think VU may have finally turned the corner after years and years (starting before my time) of institutional neglect. Time will tell.GO VANDY!
