VUDores here... I/we are the two headed entity of Bill and Genelle. You can only tell who is posting by the tone of the message (Genelle is the fiesty one!) We have been Vanderbilt fans since our freshman year in 1965. I don't think we ever missed a football or basketball game during our time at VU. Both of us are VU Engineering School graduates, '69 (this togetherness stuff gets sickening, doesn't it?!) We have lived in the Lexington, KY area since graduation and I guess we will retire here. We have one son, Eric, who is also a VU grad ('96)...Engineering, as well. We have held season tickets for football since graduation, and drive down for all of the home games. Usually find a way to attend at least one away game per year too. Have given it a thought to get season BB tix when retirement time comes (2+ years). Other than Vanderbilt sports, our outside interests include snow skiing, traveling, and most importantly, GOLF!! I guess it's fair to say that we have seen most of the ups and downs of Vandy sports during our 35 years as Vandy fanatics. But, I can honestly say that this is one of the few times that the old adage "WAIT 'TIL NEXT YEAR!" has a basis in reality. This football team is not the Same Old Vandy and that will play out in the new millenium. So, to all Black and Gold fans: Come on out and support the NEW VANDY!! It's gonna be fun!!
