I have no direct affiliation with Vanderbilt athletics. Just a love for the game and Vandy football. I am a resident of Nashville(actually Mt. Juliet just outside Nashville) for 7 years and have been drawn to the team likely because of my underdog mentality. It sickens me that Vanderbilt who is just as much of a member in the SEC plays second fiddle to UT in Nashville, Vandy's home town.I am a relatively new member to the Vandy fan base and feel that in order for Dore football to be successful for more than a period of one year, there must be excitement that creates a stronger fan base. A fan base which consists of more than Vandy alumni because while the Alumni may be the core of the fan base it's tough to fill a 40,000 capacity stadium with only graduates and students. I am 29 and my wife of a year and a half is 33. She is a staunch Alabama fan and secondly a Vandy fan. I am excited about the possibilities for Vandy football and hope the rest of the community catches on too. GO DORES!!
