I thought I was the only one. While growing up in middle TN, I was the only kid in school who wore Vandy items, I wrote a theme in the 5th grade about attending Vanderbilt. After recieving my acceptance to Vandy I chose a route less traveled and receive my college degree from Southwestern @Memphis! A Vandy fan I have remind. In fact the best year to date for being a follower of the Black and Gold was 1982-1983. As a med student,at the state supported medical school in Memphis, Vandy beat ut in football and 2x in men's basketball.Currently in am living in Jackson,MS and have tried for years to get closer to Dudley field and Memorial Gym without success. I continue to be a rare sighting amongst the Rebels, Bulldogs and Golden Eagles but my Vanderbilt flags proudly both from my residence and car. Every parcel of mail I post has a gold "Go Vandy" stamped on it.Vandymania and the Commodore Report make being an island of Black and Gold less deserted. Finally I know there are others like I.
