ads on vandymania?

I've noticed a ton of floating ads now appearing every time I visit this page. Is this a change in the forum host or something specific to me. It blocks all the text on the right so I cannot read threads correctly. I don't mind having the occasional ad, I understand the forum host needs to make some $, but it is in the way of using the forum.

Yeah, been like that for a while for me.
I agree that the hosts need to make money to offset the investment required to maintain a website.
Don’t know if everyone on here would be willing to pay an annual subscription fee to offset those costs and remove ads. I certainly would, but that would also involve its own challenges that may be more hassle than they’re worth compared to just relying on ads to offset hosting costs.

Seven out of 10 times I can hit the x and the ads exit. The three times it opens the ads I figure I’m paying my dues.
