Scholarships for next fall are at 84 by my count. That means the last one goes to the best guy available, probably at the position of most need, and Balis, a smallish RB (at a position that is well-stocked for fall) probably isn't that.

I'm kind of hoping for a commitment from DT Nikhil Jefferson between now and Late Signing Day, Feb. 7.

Jake Balis has received a national honor: he was named today as Athlete of the Year by the National High School Strength Coaches' Association.

And yes, he's still coming to VU in the fall as a PWO.
